How rank.sn reviews and ranks products

Our recommendations are designed to be useful, understandable, and commercially independent. This policy describes the principles we apply across our review content.

Last updated: July 22, 2026

1. Define the decision

Before ranking a category, we identify the reader’s likely use cases, meaningful differences between products, and the criteria that affect value. Criteria vary by category and may include performance, usability, durability, features, support, safety, price, and total cost of ownership.

2. Gather and verify information

Our reviews may draw on manufacturer documentation, technical specifications, reputable third-party research, retailer information, user feedback, and hands-on evaluation when available. We cross-check material claims where practical and distinguish observed facts from editorial judgment.

3. Compare consistently

Products within a ranking are assessed against a shared set of core criteria. We consider both strengths and limitations. A higher price or longer feature list does not automatically produce a higher ranking; relevance and overall value matter.

4. Make recommendations for real needs

We may select different winners for different readers—for example, best overall, best value, or best for a specific use case. We explain the reasoning and important compromises behind each recommendation.

5. Keep commerce separate from conclusions

rank.sn may earn affiliate commissions, but compensation does not guarantee inclusion, favorable coverage, or a particular ranking. Editorial conclusions are based on our assessment of the category. Learn more in our Affiliate Disclosure.

6. Monitor and update

Product availability, specifications, pricing, and evidence change. We may revise rankings when those changes materially affect a recommendation. Price and availability shown on third-party sites always take precedence and should be checked before purchase.

Corrections

When we confirm a meaningful factual error, we correct it as promptly as practical. To report an issue, email [email protected] with the page URL, the statement in question, and supporting information.

A note on “best”

“Best” reflects our editorial assessment for a stated use case at the time of review. It is not a guarantee that a product will be right for every reader.
